Five modern and heritage homes in Sarnia are being decorated in holiday splendor for the IODE’s annual Christmas Home Tour.
Now in its ninth year, the self-directed tour allows patrons to visit the homes over two days on Saturday Nov. 21 and Sunday, 22, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Participants can also visit the Hospitality Centre at All Saints Anglican Church, 248 Vidal St. N., where craft works are displayed and hot cider, coffee and homemade shortbread cookies are served.
In addition to the five homes, visitors can also take a full tour of St. Joseph's Hospice, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
The home tour is made possible by contributions from nearly a dozen retailers and countless volunteers.
Money raised this year will support Rebound’s girl’s mentoring program and the Organization for Literacy in Lambton.
The locations of the tour stops are revealed when you buy a ticket. As with previous tours, the protocol is to remove shoes, and picture taking and children under 12 are not permitted.
Tickets, $15, are available at DeGroot’s Nurseries, Shoppers Drug Mart, Betty Dee's, Flowers Forever, R&D Floral Studio, Lambton Mall (Canadian Tire entrance), Praill's Greenhouses and Scotiabank in Bright’s Grove. During tour days, tickets will be also available at the Hospitality Centre (cash only).
