City basketball league champs crowned
The Assante Capital Management team has been crowned this year’s champs in the Sarnia Men’s Basketball League. In the final, Assante downed Fuel Factory 71-51, with Andy Wedemire the top scorer (25 points). Nathan Dixon led Fuel Factory with 20.

The Mooretown Novice TriCounty Storm went undefeated with a 5-0 record to win the Comfort Inn Tournament in Simcoe, Ont. March 14-16. The Storm outscored its opposition 46-3 and downed the Ingersoll Express 10-1 in the final.
