On December 4th, the SPS announced the formalization of another small project to address one (of many) property crime challenges in the City of Sarnia.  This project focused on a multi-stage approach to recover stolen shopping carts, which are highly visible in some areas of our community.

This initiative is another example of the SPS working to address multiple community concerns around property crimes and complex social disorder issues.  Every interaction the police have, is an opportunity to encourage some of our high risk individuals to access available services including shelters, addiction support, or other paths that can address some of their underlying challenges.

The Sarnia Police Service is proud to announce its annual "Cram a Cruiser" event, scheduled for Friday, December 13, from 5-9 PM and Saturday, December 14 from 12-7 PM. A Sarnia Police Service cruiser will be parked inside the Atrium at Lambton Mall (outside the Toys R' Us) with officers collecting holiday gift donations for the Inn of the Good Shepherd, a vital local organization that provides support to individuals and families in need.

The Sarnia Police Service encourages all residents to join in spreading holiday joy to children in our community.  Your generosity and support are greatly appreciated as we work to strengthen our community and care for our neighbours.
