On January 31, 2025 at 12:30am, police were called to the Devine Street area for a disturbance. Residents had been awoken to the sound of a male on foot and punching parked cars.
Officers arrived on scene and found the male suspect slumped over on the ground and displaying signs of intoxication. Minor injuries were observed to his hand consistent with punching and a small amount of potentially related damage was located on a nearby vehicle (investigation continuing). EMS was contacted but declined by the male.
He was placed under arrest. A search revealed a concealed expandable baton in his waistband. At the time of his arrest, he was subject to a probation order with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
As a result, A 24 year old of Sarnia, was held for bail on the following charges:
- Carrying a concealed weapon
- Breach of Probation
