Fatal Collision - London Line (Updated)

On Monday, July 29, 2024 at approximately 10:05 pm the Sarnia Police Service, Sarnia Fire and Lambton EMS attended the area of London Line & Telfer Road for a serious motor vehicle collision involving a transport truck and a cyclist.  Upon police arrival, it was apaprent that a male cyclist had been struck by a transport truck in the eastbound lane and had succumbed to his injuries. 

The Sarnia Police Service - Traffic Services Unit attended the site of the collision and began to conduct a Collision Reconstruction investigation.  The roadway where the collision occurred was closed to traffic for an extended period.  

Traffic Services officers were on scene at the site of the collision into the early afternoon hours of July 30th where reconstruction measurements were taken.  The roadway has now fully re-opened.

Although the investigation is continuing, no charges are expected to be laid in this investigation at this time.  As a result, the identity of the involved cyclist, a 42 year old Sarnia man, is not being released.
