It is with deeply saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Gladys Metcalfe on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Bluewater Health at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late John Metcalfe (2018). Loving mother of Keith Metcalfe and Lynn (Orren) Simpson. Cherished grandmother of LeAnne Metcalfe (Randy) and Ashley (Michael) Desjarlais. Treasured great-grandmother of Reece St. Denis. Predeceased by her parents John and Isabel Baker, by her sister Doris and her sister Irene in the UK. Gladys worked at Sears Canada for 23 years and enjoyed her position in the children’s department. She loved to spend her time knitting and going to the casino. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Cremation has taken place. At Gladys’ request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to the CNIB or the Heart & Stroke Foundation (cheques only at the funeral home please).
