It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Constantine (Kosta) Laberis on Saturday, June 14, 2025. Beloved husband of Georgia for over 54 years. Loving father of Stefos (Stenia), Sophia (Tad) and the most loving devoted Papou to Kosta, Natasha, Lachlan and Kallista. They were his pride and joy. Uncle to many nieces and nephews, special nephew-but more like a brother, Lambros Fotopoulos. Survived by his sisters in Greece, Amalia, Tia, Anastasia, his siblings-in-law Spiridoula, Mary, Paul, Bill, and Evangalia, and predeceased by his parents Stefanos and Sophia, his sister Maria, and his brothers George and Anikhitos.
Born on May 12, 1949, in Drosato, Greece, Kosta dedicated his life to his family. He was known for his warm smile, strong work ethic, and kind spirit, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Kosta was a loyal friend to Tony, George, and Val and always looked forward to his weekly lunches with “the boys”.
His memory will be cherished forever by his family, friends, and all those lives he touched.
A funeral service will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 1299 Murphy Rd, Sarnia, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. with family and friends being received one hour prior from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice (cheques only at the funeral home please). Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
