It is with deep sorrow we announce that Leonard Terence ‘Terry’ Howlett passed suddenly on the early morning of January 7, 2025 at the age of 60. Terry was born in Sarnia to Leonard ‘Chum’ and Connie (Barnes) Howlett. He moved to Hamilton some years ago but came back to his hometown in 2020 and has been happy in his little apartment on Lambton Line. He leaves behind his daughter Monica Howlett and step-daughter Jasmine. He is survived by his siblings Taylor, Rob, Laura and Linda as well as his many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews who loved him greatly. He will be fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. Terry was a talented hockey and baseball player in his youth and the Howlett household was always busy following all the sports going on; a wonderful time in our lives. He enjoyed walking, biking, antiquing, thrift shopping with his mom, going to movies but mainly music. He was learning to play the guitar and had a large CD, Tape and concert DVD collection. He also enjoyed collecting any working technology he could find, preferably old retro items. He travelled with his mom shopping or wherever they happened to feel like going that day. If you saw one, the other was probably close by. “I will miss those times. My car will be lonely and my helper will not be there to make sure I am ok.” ~Mom. He was quiet and sweet and never had a bad word for anyone. He loved his family and spent his best life, for a longtime, here in Port Lambton for the last four years. His family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to all the people who assisted Terry in his final hours. You were all amazing and kind. We appreciate each of you. Family and friends are invited to join together for Terry’s funeral at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231), on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 1:30pm followed by burial at McDonald Cemetery in Port Lambton. If you wish to make a donation in his memory, please consider The Wallaceburg Salvation Army or the Wallaceburg Royal Canadian Legion. Cherished stories and tributes may be left for the family at www.CavanaghFuneralHome.ca

Terry, our hearts are broken. You will never be forgotten. Your beautiful eyes, your smile, your laugh that we shared. We love you now and forever. Until we meet again - you are at peace. ~ Mom and Dad
