It is with saddened hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father, son, and brother, Jim Economou on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the age of 54. Loving father of Victoria Economou. Son of Dina and the late Peter Economou (2013). Cherished brother of Ellen (Brad) Wilson. Uncle of Lauren and Peri Wilson. Jim will be missed by his many aunts, uncles, and extended family in Canada, the United States and in Greece. Jim was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He will be missed by his tight-knit group of friends including; Bill Simeonakis, John Stahis, Bill Rigakos, and Bill Newton who he was always spending time with. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation being held prior from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 1299 Murphy Rd., Sarnia, with interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (cheques only at the funeral home please). Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
