It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Franco Raffaele D'Andrea at Bluewater Health, peacefully, with family by his side, on Monday, May 5th, 2025, at the age of 87. Dear father of Lisa-Marie Kleinsmith (Jeffery) and Casey D'Andrea. Precious grandfather of Avery, Emma, Kadin (Spencer), and grandchildren afar, as well as great-grandfather of Harvey. Loving brother of Gil (Patricia), Lilliana, Nella, Ninetta, and the late Ida & Michael. Longtime partner & friend to Lora MacKinnon, and special friend to Gabrielle Webb. Cherished uncle to many nieces & nephews around the world. Predeceased by his parents, Vincent & Maria.

Born and raised in Italy, and following in his brothers' footsteps, Frank immigrated to Canada as a young adult. Hard-working & dedicated, he spent many years working throughout both the United States & Canada, eventually settling into Sarnia, Ontario, where he married, started a family, and worked until retirement as a member of local IBEW 530. Inquisitive in nature, and an enthuthiast for all things health, Frank could often be found outdoors taking part in Tai Chi classes, or cultivating his perfect gardens. On rainy days, tinkering away with projects & gadgets amany, or taking in one of his many books from his considerable library collection, he was always keeping both his mind & body busy. He will be missed dearly by all of those who loved him, and whom he loved so much in return. Special thanks to Dr. Kim & the compassionate staff of Palliative Care, Dr. Giffin & the caring staff of CCCog who became like family to him, Dr. Borek, and to staff at Sarnia Lambton Alzheimer's Society.

Family & friends will be received on Sunday, May 11th, 2025, from 6:00pm - 8:00pm, followed by a funeral service on Monday, May 12th at 11am, both at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. Interment to be held at Resurrection Cemetery, 1885 London Line, Sarnia, immediately following funeral service. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Sarnia Lambton Alzheimer's Society or St Benedict Parish, Sarnia  (cheques only at the funeral home please).
