Teen charged in intimate partner violence investigation: Lambton OPP

Lambton OPP have arrested two people in separate incidents — including a 16-year-old — following a pair of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) investigations over the weekend.

Police say officers were called to a disturbance in St. Clair Township around 2:20 p.m. on Saturday, April 27.

“As a result of the investigation, a 50-year-old of Lambton County, has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Assault - Spousal,” police stated in a news release.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a future date.

About four hours later, police responded to a disturbance call in Warwick Township.

As a result of the investigation, a 16-year-old of Middlesex County has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Assault - Spousal
  • Resist Peace Officer
  • Failure to comply with release order - other than to attend court

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a future date.

The identity of the accused is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
