Sarnia-Lambton MP Pat Davidson will host a suicide prevention meeting June 25 as part of an effort to develop a national suicide strategy.
The session at Lambton College will hear from mental health organizations and other stakeholders that work to prevent suicide, or deal with the aftermath in grieving families.
The organizations will make short presentations from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and their briefing documents included in Sarnia-Lambton’s submission to the Mental Health Commission of Canada for the creation of a “best practice” suicide prevention model.
