The Sarnia Sting will kick off the 2023-2024 season with a home-opener against the Windsor Spitfires on Sept. 29 at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena, the club announced this week, as the OHL released its full regular season schedule.
The Sting’s 34 home-game schedule features 26 games to be played between Friday and Sundays, including 15 Friday night matchups and nine Sunday afternoon games.
February marks the team’s busiest month with 12 games on the calendar, including seven at home.
October, November, and December follow closely behind with 11 total games and 6 home games each.
“Highlights from the schedule include the team’s first School Day game to be played against the Saginaw Spirit on November 7 at 11 a.m. and a holiday home-and-home battle with the London Knights on December 28 and 29,” the club said in a news release.
“The team’s annual Family Day game is scheduled for February 19th against the SOO Greyhounds.”

“The focus for the Sting remains on providing the members of the Sarnia-Lambton community the most affordable opportunities possible to take in OHL hockey,” the club added. “All while making the necessary investments to progressively enhance the game-day experience for fans and upgrades to the facility to compete as a premiere major junior program in the world.”
Fans can secure all-ages season tickets for just $350 +hst and child (12U) season tickets for just $200 +hst in the Sting Energy Zone presented by Milk. Returning season ticket holders have until August 11th to renew their seats before they are open for resale.
