Sarnia Police say officers with the Criminal Investigations Division and Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at 8:17 p.m. in the 300-block of Emma Street, on April 19.

“During the execution, officers arrested two individuals without incident,” police said in a news release, adding that one was a 36-year-old resident of Sarnia.

Upon searching that individual, officers discovered a “significant quantity of crystal methamphetamine and fentanyl, meticulously packaged for distribution.

“A further search of the residence yielded additional evidence, including fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine, packaging materials, and a sum of cash,” police added. “The total seizure included 37.21 grams of fentanyl, 12.56 grams of crystal methamphetamine, and $1,735 in cash, amounting to a street value of $6,209.50.”

As a result of the investigation, the accused has been charged with: possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl; possession for the purpose of trafficking crystal methamphetamine; and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
