Point Edward has approved a $4.3-million operating budget for 2019 that includes a 1.73% tax increase.
The increase will add $12 to the tax bill on a house assessed at $100,000, which last year paid $689 in municipal property tax, the village said.
Capital projects this year include roadwork on Christina and Livingston streets, and improvements to the Monk Street tennis courts to create a recreational space for residents and visitors.
The final tax bill will blend the village increase with the Lambton County levy and education taxes.
