A number of roads have been impacted by local flooding, according to the St. Clair Conservation Authority.
A flood watch bulletin issued Saturday by the agency says some 60 to 70 mm of rain logged in the last 36 hours has caused minor flooding across the watershed and several road closures.
“Water levels are rising from precipitation received in the last 24 -36 hours and have spilled into natural floodplain areas, parks and fields; several roads have been impacted,” the bulletin noted.
Impacted roads include: Stanley Line between Kimball and Wabuno Roads; Pretty Road, north of McCallum Line; Waterworks Road, north of Courtright Line; and Telfer Road, between Courtright Line and Moore Line.
“Individuals are reminded to avoid watercourses and flooded areas due to dangerous conditions, slippery banks and cold, swift moving water,” the Conservation Authority said.
“Children and pets should be kept away from the water.”
