Students at Hanna Memorial Public School are making a tangible difference in the community through Enactus One, a program linking local classrooms with Lambton College’s Enactus chapter to drive real-world social change.

Under the guidance of educator Lara Sazonov, one student group focused on homelessness, collecting and distributing essential items to those in need while raising awareness about housing insecurity among their peers.

Another group took on environmental concerns, organizing a cleanup of Canatara Beach as part of a student-led initiative that began with a personal project and expanded to involve the broader school community.

These efforts follow earlier success from P.E. McGibbon Public School’s “Dental Heroes,” which provided oral hygiene support across the Lambton Kent District School Board.

Enactus One, delivered in partnership with Enactus Canada and Lambton College, encourages students to approach social, environmental, and economic challenges with entrepreneurial thinking and compassion.
