Families, students, and curious homeowners will find plenty to explore at the Sarnia Library this Earth Day, as Climate Action Sarnia-Lambton hosts an evening of interactive displays and practical climate solutions on Tuesday, April 22.
The free event runs from 6:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. at the library, located at 124 Christina St. S.
From 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., guests can browse displays, enjoy hands-on activities, and connect with representatives from local organizations including Great Lakes Refill Co., nuSarnia, Friends of the St. Clair River, Bird Friendly Sarnia, Golden Alexanders Native Plant Nurseries, Backyard Gardener, Lambton Wildlife Inc., and Lambton County Library.
At 7:00 p.m., the evening continues in the Library Theatre with “Heat Pumps, EVs and More – What’s in it for YOU?” — a public presentation by engineers John Ward and Ed Brost. The talk will explore the benefits of heat pumps and electric vehicles, with time for audience questions.
“Taking part in Earth Day activities is a meaningful way to show your love and concern for this amazing planet we live on,” said Allan McKeown of Climate Action Sarnia-Lambton. “There is so much going on at the library that will be fun and informative for all ages, and I hope that many people will join us to celebrate this important day.”
The event is presented by Climate Action Sarnia-Lambton in collaboration with local environmental groups and community partners.
