A 19-year-old who snapped photos while passing an accident scene has learned driving and cellphones don’t mix.

A Sarnia Police officer was working traffic control on Aug. 10 at a three-vehicle collision on London Road when the young motorist drove by, held up his cell phone and took pictures of the scene, police said.

He was stopped and issued a ticket for driving while using a handheld device.

One woman involved in the accident was taken to Bluewater Health and treated for minor injuries.
