Residents can say a final goodbye to Coronation Park Day Nursery before it locks its doors Nov. 28.
An open house on Thursday, Nov. 20 will give staff and families past and present a chance to swap stories about the 42-year-old facility on Oak Avenue, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Lambton County voted to close the nursery in September because of a $1.3-million deficit and declining enrolment.
"We're hoping this will be a nostalgic evening where visitors can reminisce and tour the facility one last time,” said Doug Ball, the county’s manager of children's services.
About 50 children are being displaced by the move.
