As a resident of Lambton County, a union ironworker, and a proud Canadian, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges and opportunities that define Sarnia-Lambton. I’ve worked across this country, from Alberta’s oil fields to Saskatchewan’s infrastructure projects, and I know what it takes to keep communities like ours thriving. That’s why I’m running for the People’s Party of Canada (PPC) in the new riding of Sarnia-Lambton-Bkejwanong —because I believe our community deserves a voice that puts Canadians first, fights for our freedoms, and protects the economic heartbeat of Chemical Valley. Here’s why the PPC is the right choice for our riding in this federal election.
Sarnia-Lambton-Bkejwanong is a powerhouse of industry, with Chemical Valley driving jobs and prosperity not just for our families but for Canada as a whole. The PPC understands this better than any other party. We’re unapologetically pro-gas and oil, recognizing that our natural resources are the backbone of our economy and fund the social programs we all rely on. While other parties push policies that threaten our industries with overregulation or carbon taxes, the PPC stands firm: we need to keep our tradespeople working, our businesses growing, and our resources flowing. I’ve seen the devastation of job losses in other industrial towns, and I’ll fight tooth and nail to ensure Sarnia-Lambton doesn’t face that fate.
But it’s not just about jobs—it’s about freedom. Over the past few years, we’ve watched governments erode the rights we hold dear. In 2021, I spoke out against vaccine mandates that threatened livelihoods and divided our community. Those mandates were a step toward tyranny, forcing people to choose between their jobs and their personal choices. The PPC is the only party that consistently defends individual liberty, whether it’s your right to make medical decisions or to speak freely without fear of censorship. Unlike other parties that stayed silent or went along with lockdowns and restrictions, we stood with the people of Sarnia-Lambton who were scared for their businesses and their futures. That’s the kind of leadership I’ll bring to Ottawa—a voice that says, “Enough is enough.”
Our community faces real challenges, from the opioid crisis tearing families apart to the high cost of living that’s squeezing the least fortunate among us. As your MP, I’d push for a detox and rehab centre right here in Sarnia-Lambton Bkejwanong to tackle the drug problem head-on, giving families the support they need. I’d also work to secure federal funding to address poverty and housing, not with Band-Aid solutions but with policies that preserve our businesses and drive economic prosperity. The PPC’s platform allows me to bring local issues to Parliament through free votes, ensuring your voice is heard. I’m not here to toe the line for a party whip— I’m here to represent you.
This election, with tariff threats looming from the United States, we need a government that can negotiate from strength and protect our industries. The PPC’s focus on economic freedom and reducing government overreach means we’ll cut red tape and let our businesses compete on a global stage. I’ve worked in the trades for 25 years, and I know the pride we take in our work here. We don’t need bureaucrats in Ottawa telling us how to run our economy—we need leaders who trust Sarnia-Lambton to lead the way.
I’ve been called a fighter, and I wear that badge proudly. Whether it’s standing up for legal gun ownership, or advocating for transparency in government, I’m in this for the everyday people of Sarnia-Lambton-Bkejwanong. I believe in voting for the person, not the colour on the sign in the yard. My roots are here, and I’ve knocked on enough doors to know and understand the needs of our riding. I’m not a career politician; I’m one of you.
The PPC, under Maxime Bernier’s leadership, is a party of principle. We don’t bow to political correctness or special interests. We believe in lower taxes, personal responsibility, and a government that serves the people, not the other way around. In a riding that’s been held by the Conservatives for years, it’s time for a change—not to the Liberals or NDP, who push policies that hurt our industries and freedoms, but to a party that truly puts Canadians first.
On April 28, I’m asking for your vote to bring that change to Sarnia Lambton Bkejwanong. Let’s send a message to Ottawa that our community is ready to stand tall, protect our way of life, and build a future where freedom and prosperity go hand in hand. Together, we can make sure Sarnia-Lambton-Bkejwanong's voice is heard loud and clear.
Vote, Brian Everaert in Sarnia-Lambton-Bkejwanong.
