When my parents immigrated to Canada after World War II, they came looking for opportunity, peace, and a chance to build something better. They landed in Sarnia in the 1960s and found a place that welcomed them. That same sense of possibility and belonging shaped my entire life.
This community gave my family a home. It gave me a place to raise my kids. And it’s where I’ve spent over 60 years working, serving, and building relationships I’m proud of. I became a police officer in my twenties, serving both Point Edward and Sarnia. After retiring from policing, I started my own paralegal business, helping people navigate the justice system. Through that work, I’ve stood beside everyday people when they needed support. Fairness, accessibility, and integrity have guided me in everything I do.
I’ve also dedicated myself to volunteerism, supporting organizations that reflect the heart of this riding. I co-founded the Sexual Assault Survivors’ Centre and chaired the Sarnia Humane Society. I’ve been involved with the Kiwanis Club, the Optimist Club of Bright’s Grove, and served on the Police Services Board. Most recently, I’ve had the honour of representing residents as a city councillor.
I know this community, and I know its challenges. I’ve heard the concerns about rising costs, access to healthcare, and the need for good jobs that support families. Many of those issues cannot be addressed at the local level alone. They require strong federal leadership and a seat at the decision-making table.
That’s why I’m running to be your Member of Parliament. Because I want to bring your voice into government — and make sure Sarnia–Lambton is not left behind. With the Liberal Party gaining momentum under Mark Carney, voters are beginning to see that we may form the next government. Electing a Liberal MP in this riding means being on the inside of policy decisions, investment planning, and national priorities. That matters.
This is not about slogans. It’s about values. I’ve spent a lifetime working with people who depend on fairness, respect, and follow-through. If elected, I will serve with those same values every day.
